I’ve been MIA and I can’t believe that it’s taken me so long to get back to blogging but I guess that’s what happens when you’re new at this stuff! It’s been a very busy summer and I can’t believe that it’s already August! We spent a week on the East Coast visiting friends and had a blast. Our first day of travel, leaving Denver took us through FIVE states (although it wasn’t planned that way!) and four airports. Weather was horrendous on the east coast and flights were backed up at all airports. We spent some quality time at the Nashville airport which I thought was a cool airport, you could get a manicure/pedicure or a massage or do some shopping or listen to some live music all over the place. I suppose it is Nashville and if you’re an artist looking for your break it’s a good place to start! Then we left thinking we were heading to Philly but wound up at the Baltimore airport after circling trying to land in Philly. After 90 minutes on the ground in Baltimore we took a quick 30 minute flight to Philly and finally were able to get off the airplane! A quick drive to New Jersey and we were able to have dinner and crash for the night. I’ve never had such a long and exhausting day of travel that didn’t have my final destination be in Europe or Hawaii!
We spent the next three days in New Jersey soaking up the sun at the beach, taking a boat ride onto the bay and enjoying delicious Italian sausage sandwiches on the boardwalk. There are a ton more photos and stories to share about the rest of our trip….until then, cheers!
